Vacation Bible Camp for children in kindergarten through fifth grade consists of a variety of hands-on activities and classes offered around the last week of June. This fun-filled week is an opportunity for children and families to share God's love through Bible stories, music, crafts, snacks and recreation. With new themes each year, children — and the adults and youth who assist them — go on a journey of faith and share adventures in coming to know our magnificent God.
Volunteers are welcome, including junior and senior high school students through adults. Registration forms for students and volunteers are available in the church vestibule in May of each year. We greatly need plenty of adult teachers and assistant volunteers in order to offer this terrific summer program.
We had a great time in "Rome" this year for our Family Vacation Bible Camp. Kids and parents learned about ancient Rome and the early Christians. We visited "St. Paul and the underground Church". And, we even escaped capture by the Roman "guard". We had fun in the many shops where we learned about carpentry, architecture, leatherworking, basket weaving, wreath making and more.
