May's book of the month is Bishop Robert Barron’s, Light from Light- A Theological Reflection on the Nicene Creed. A clear and compelling explanation of Christian teachings for a new generation, especially those who have wandered away. Catholic in Recovery provides healing from addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments. Meetings combine the spiritual principles of 12-step recovery and the sacraments of the Catholic Church. Join others in recovery as we overlap scripture from Sunday’s Mass readings, liturgical themes, and recovery topics with honest discussion and prayer. Confidentiality is protected. On Sunday, February 19 from 9am - 12pm in Feist Hall, many joined us for a unique and beautiful Sunday morning Lenten experience! Our Lenten Religious Art Festival was designed to help deepen your personal journey through Lent. We used sacred art, devotions, and a variety of other mediums to convey how Being Catholic is a Way of Life.

St. Charles wants to celebrate and bless all of our Catholic marriages for Marriage Month. There will be a Celebration of Marriage reception on February 11th. If you are celebrating your 5th,10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, or any anniversary after 50 in 2023, please send a wedding and current photo with a few sentences about yourselves. Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist. Everyone was surprised by John’s actions even before God spoke from the heavens. By this action, Jesus teaches us the nature of baptism. At this event, families will remember their baptism, learn about this gospel story, and explore what it means for living out our own baptism.
As we move to the New Parish Engagement System, we are asking all Families to update their family information. An email has been sent to families with their basic information to be updated if necessary. Once the new program is up and running sometime after the first of the year, families will be able to update their own information.
With colder weather approaching, we may see some slippery conditions this winter. Our greatest concern is the safety of our community and staff. We will post any closures on our website. Please continue to check here for updates.
