Education in the faith is a lifelong journey that ebbs and flows. Opportunities for community fellowship, small groups, and individual self-reflection are offered throughout the year. We offer several Bible Study groups, a Book Club, several intergenerational groups, and numerous resources.
Beginning January 9, this group will study the short book of Maccabees through the Lenten season. After this, they will be doing the Scott Hahn study on The Eucharist.
Beginning January 4, we will begin the What We Believe study from Ascension Press. Ascension says this about the study,
“The Catholic Church is extraordinary. Founded by Christ himself, the Catholic Church is where we encounter God in his Word, his sacraments, and his saints. The Church faithfully proclaims the fullness of faith, leaving no truth out. It proclaims the fullness of life, leaving no person out. It calls all to repent and to believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the source of all life and salvation. Maybe you’ve been Catholic your entire life. Maybe you’re just beginning to explore the Catholic Faith. Wherever you may be in your journey, you will be profoundly moved by the beauty and the richness of the Catholic Church.”

no-host discussion. Recommendations for books are always welcome.
The new book club book for May is Bishop Robert Barron’s, Light from Light- A Theological Reflection on the Nicene Creed. In a number of recent studies, people who have left the practice of religion were asked why they were disaffiliated. One of the most prominent reasons they gave was simply that they no longer believed in the teachings of Christianity. This book is a clear and compelling explanation of those teachings for a new generation, especially those who have wandered away.
Join us on May 31st at 5:30 in the Parish Center Parlor to discuss your thoughts on this book.
Books are available in the parish office for a suggested contribution of $10.
See below for Jodie Clark's contact with questions or to join in the discussion, even if you don't finish the book.
